My Stories

This is where I shall be placing an overview of my work (each may eventually get a page of their own if needed). What is a WIP and what is finished (not including editing/mini-rewrites). I've several stories on the go at the moment so the page will change from time to time.

Published Novels

The Rogue King Saga - my very first story. Now a series of four. A not-so-sweet tale of disrupted destiny, demented gods, kidnapped lovers and a man who just wants to be normal ... hmm, good luck with that, lizardman. ^_^

Koral's innocent way of life is shattered when he's forced to take the path of a Rogue by the God of Lust.

(And, apart from four people at the beginning, none of them are human)

Finished Stories

Dragon
The dragons are dying, victims of merciless attacks by a foreign clan. The dragon council, desperate to replace the females they've lost, uncover eighteen-year-old Maayin - the last female capable of breeding a full-blooded dragon. Maayin, who has spent her life far from any dragon, is horrified by the claim that, despite her human appearance, she is a dragon. She agrees to go with them on one condition: they must bring her home when they're proven wrong. The old dragons laugh at her demands but a younger dragon, Jaimin, agrees.
Once imprisoned in the mountain lair, the evidence against Maayin quickly mounts up. Still, she struggles to believe the truth. Then she begins having feelings for Jaimin, who teaches her to accept her dragon heritage and, for the first time, Maayin feels like she belongs. Although ancient law deems it too dangerous for their two kinds to breed, being unable to choose Jaimin as her mate is only the beginning of Maayin's troubles.

Mapmaker - Short story about a mapmaker (who would've thought it, huh?). Doesn't quite go the way one would think with such a title. Came out of a dream.

Work's in Progress

Godless Series (sequel series to The Rogue King Saga) - The gods and the old devil have been imprisoned by the devil's daughter causing the natural magic to fail. The legendary jewels of the All Mother have the power to free the gods and restore balance. Without them, their world will either fall or be doomed to live at the whim of the shadow. But procuring the long-buried gems may just mean death when the devil's daughter seeks their end, if not full command over the jewels.

Starts with The Gems of Thardrandia - Currently at 23,000 words. (Being Rewritten)

Through Smoke and Fire
Born into slavery, Kaheran knows he has one last chance to avoid the mines, a fate that can only mean a slow and agonising death. It is a slim chance for a defiant labourer who looks to be on death's door, yet it seems that fate has gifted him with another chance after he is bought as a pet project for a sympathising young noblewoman, Adya.

But all is not right.

When an altercation with a nobleman sees him trained as his mistress' bodyguard, Kaheran starts to fall for the woman he is meant to protect. Can he conceal his feelings and play the part given to him? Even as the city, having long been a hub for the empire's slave trade, turns against itself? Unrest threatens everything he's gained and promises more than he's ever dreamt of having. For the first time in his life, true freedom is within reach.

But will the price be one he's ready to pay?

In Pain and Blood
For Dylan, being a spellster means one thing: a life shut away with those who share a similar magical talent. For twenty-nine years, his life has been one of endless lessons, frequent dalliances with women, and staying just far enough on the side of good to avoid being singled out as a threat by those who guard them. The only way he'll ever be in the outside world is through joining a leashed weapon for the army, a chance he readily takes.

When what should've been a routine inspection goes awry, Dylan is left unleashed and with much of his knowledge useless in this world without boundaries. Fearing he'd be branded a deserter and prey for the King's Hounds, he struggles to make his way back to the only safety he's ever known. But with whispers of strange happenings occurring throughout the kingdom, nowhere might be safe anymore.

To Target the Heart
Being third in line for the throne leaves Prince Hamish with the sole duty of marrying to secure ties for his family. But Hamish has no interest in marriage, at least not to the hoards of women his mother parades before him.

When his mother catches wind of single kiss between him and Darshan, ambassador of Udynea and heir to the imperial throne, a contest of arms is held to have him married off before any rumours spread. The winner will earn his hand.

But one contestant is not as they appear and, if they make it through to the final test, their union will shake the very empire...

Down the Path of Shadows
Emma has the misfortune of being born with magic in the kingdom of Obuzan, where such power is forbidden and the corrupted priesthood routinely scours the land in search of spellsters to burn. For seventeen years, she has managed to evade her city's relentless hunt.
Yet even the fear of being caught cannot quell the desire to use her power and Emma often wanders the nearby forest to test the limits of her magic. There she meets, Rónio, an elven man from a nomadic tribe who becomes enamoured by her spirit and swears to take her with them when his people leave.
But when the priests catch her scent and the young elf is taken, she has but one choice: sacrifice his life for her freedom or give in to save him.

Anubis' Handmaiden
In the year 2500 BC Amisi, a young priestess of Anubis, was sacrificed at the behest of Osiris. Mummified and imprisoned in an unmarked sarcophagus, all mention of her was stripped from history. Only the gods knew the real reason for such a drastic measure. Only one god mourned her death. His beloved lost to him, Anubis is banished to the edge of the afterlife.
Five thousand years later, and he comes across June, a young Englishwoman, when she is drawn towards the amulet he made for Amisi. She bears the priestess' soul and, with his help, can relive pieces of Amisi's life. Infused with the tumultuous memories, it is not long before June begins to fall for the god and walk in the priestess' ancient footsteps. But loving the old god comes with a price even Anubis knew nothing about.

Witch of Morthin - Sarna, beloved witch princess of Morthin, has discovered her mother’s passing was in fact an act of murder. She believes the killer to be her father and that she’s next. Already, murmurs of war have begun to surface, kept at bay by her presence.
But that will not matter for long. Someone is seeking to finish what the sorcerers of old once attempted and destroy the magic-wielding Zha'ah. They'll succeed unless Sarna can find out who and stop them.
(Waiting on a rewrite.)

Sorcerer of the Isles - Prince Lorn, husband to the Zha'ah Queen, Sarna, has long known of the witches' origins from the magic crazed sorcerers, and how the first Zha'ah caged the old magic to their homeland. What he didn't know was the sorcerers came from the isles of the north, the native land of his mother. And now, his wife and young son have gone missing.
(Semi-plotted sequel to Witch of Morthin.)
