Introducing ...

Name: Watena
Story: The Shadow Prince
Status: High Priestess to the Minor Goddess of Truth

Originally a prophet who foresaw the demise of the Zan Empire, Watena lost the ability upon when Tiyad attained her divine status and made her into a priestess (although she does more running about than actually observing in any but the most prestigious rites). Before then, she predicted many things, some of which came true and others even she's not certain she wants to happen (like the empire's return).
Not being magically talented as well as having come from a family where her father abhorred her sole gift, has her relying more on mundane methods throughout her life along with a lingering embarrassment of her old skill.

The old image I had of her made her a little too 'cute'. I vastly prefer this.

Follow Fest

It's time for Melissa Maygrove's follow fest.

Name: Aldrea Alien ... No, it's not my real name. My real name is common as muck. Hence, Aldrea Alien.

Fiction or nonfiction? Reading? Fiction. Always fiction. Unless it's anything about Ancient Egypt, then I'm all ears ... or eyes, as the case may be.

What genres do you write? Hmm ... Fantasy, Science Fiction, Paranormal and Semi-Historical ... all with at least a touch of Romance.
Not all in the one book, mind you, although ... if anyone knows of a good story like that, hook me up with the title.

Are you published? Let's go with not yet, but very soon as I've a contract at both Astraea Press and Museitup Publishing in addition to the self-publishing adventure I'm on.

Do you do anything in addition to writing? Nothing professional. I do marginally good images via 3D rendering programs, mostly just for myself, but I've done the odd commission before.

Where can people connect with you? Well, obviously here at my blog. There's some links to the side where you can follow me via google+, bloglovin', email, GFC ... pick your poison there. I tend to use bloglovin' for following.
In addition to here, I'm on Twitter (that's @AldreaAlien), Goodreads, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and I have a Facebook page. I spend most of my online time with DeviantArt on in the background.

Is there anything else you’d like us to know? Let's see ... feel free to ask me to host cover reveals. I'm always willing. Same for releases.

Introducing ...

Name: Henry
Story: Anubis' Handmaiden
Status: University Student

June's best friend since ... forever really. They've sort of always been there for each other.
Henry's the one June will run to whenever she's in trouble.
He's also the guy who'll chase off the douches and doesn't trust Anpu from the first time he comes across this strange guy who has managed to charm his usually tough friend. That doesn't stop him from being in full agreement with June on the guy's ass. (I couldn't help making Anpu look good in jeans.) ^_^

I kind of love this little picture of Henry at his grandmother's house. And the face ... the face! I picture him doing a lot of that, especially when Anpu's around.

More Than Just A Kiss Blogfest

I've been a bit slack on my blogfest participation. Okay, probably being a little busy to be paying much attention to them is likely to be closer to the point ... but when I saw this one hosted by Cecilia Robert and Christine Rains, I couldn't resist.

Yes, I'm a sap for kissing blogfests. Don't you dare judge me.

Anyhow ... this'll be pretty straightforward, my entry's below and it's from the novella I'm working on called A Game of Cat and Horse, a title which probably won't make a whole lot of sense until about book three of The Rogue King Saga ... hey, I had to call it something 'New Document' just wasn't cutting it. Besides, I thought it was clever given the main characters ...

So! Here you go:  249 words of a brand new kissy scene from my burgeoning WiP ...

---------------

He couldn't stand here in her presence any longer and not desire a taste for himself. A single taste. Nothing more. He was no savage.

"Jarend," Laccindy breathed. She'd flattened herself against the wall. Her usually sharp, azure eyes were suddenly very unsure. "What do you think you're doing?"

"I would've thought a worldly young woman like yourself would already know the answer to that." He drew her leg up to his waist, caressing the downy fur on her thigh. Such softness. "You've spent too much energy playing with boys," he grated in her ear. "It's past time you let a man take you in hand."

Her glorious eyes widened further. "B-but–"

Their lips connected once again. She would not talk her way out of his arms this time.

Her lips parted to grant him entry. He accepted the generous offer, his tongue gliding against hers. Moaning, her fingers sunk into his hair, drawing him deeper as if she sought to consume him. Her legs, seemingly moving of their own violation, wrapped about his waist, holding him fast.

Taking it as an invitation, his hand slipped beneath her loincloth, eliciting a delightful little squeak from her throat. Her fingers slid down his back, claw tips lightly dancing across his hide. Jarend groaned into her mouth. A man could go mad whilst under her teasing ministrations. More. He needed more. Every ounce of his soul craved her.

If he couldn't be her first, then he'd damn well be her last.

Whoo! ^_^ Make sure you're following Christine Rains' blog to see her cover reveal on the 13th.

Introducing ...

Name: Tiyad
Story: The Shadow Prince
Status: Minor Goddess of Truth

I think, way back in the murky beginnings of my saga, Tiyad started off as more of a seer. That's what she was originally (well, a combo of seer and judge) before being turned goddess by the great and powerful over three thousand years before my Main Characters have need of her services.
She's got a rather unfortunate past. Saddled with a cruel husband who would've much rather have abused or subdued her talent than let her be. It didn't end well for him as the locals had started treating her as a goddess well before ascension. One point to mob mentality there.

I finished this image at about midnight when I was all alone and managed to freak myself out with those eyes. I really shouldn't be allowed near a computer after a certain time at night. ^_^
