Introducing ...

Name: Gol Lorric
Story: The Rogue King
Status: Serpent God of Lust

I give you the top agonist: Lorric! Creator of the Rogues, murderer of thousands without, technically, spilling a single drop of blood himself. He is the sole reason the Main Character - Koral - took the path he was forced to take. But that wasn't enough. Oh no, not for this snake.
As Lorric encourages his worshippers - if they could be called such; and if you can call it encouraging - to give in to all of their desires, he is stuck with an endless craving for power. Passively living off the world's base emotion doesn't cut it for him. But what's a god to do when the local populous is saturated with deities?
For Lorric it's easy: Find others who can be swayed.

This image ... even though it's mega old and a little dark, it ... creeps me out. I think it's the eyes. The horrible, glowing eyes. *shudder*

Dark Times, Silver Lining

Ugh, I've just spent four days without power. That's got to be a record time of no computer in the last decade. And it's winter here, which means three of those days were spent sleeping most uncomfortably on either floor or couch just to stay warm. I am so horribly stiff, but the news says there're still people without power and the neighbours have lost their phones, so it's not as bad as it could be.

Of course, I spent a good part of my powerless days nervous and frustrated is because, it all happened literally a day after I signed a publishing contract ... yes, a contract!
It's all official and stuff. Dark One's Mistress will be published by Astraea Press! And what a heart-stoppingly gorgeous thing that is to type.

Introducing ...

Name: Lalee and Ilsa
Story: Dragon
Status: Ladies of Byron’s Peak

Younger daughters of the Count of Byron's Peak, these two little sweets turn up in the first chapter and are never seen again ...
My, that sounds bad, did I mention that the Main Character - Maayin - leaves the castle? Lalee, the smaller of the two, appears first to 'warn' her adopted sister about the dragons, whereas Ilsa is the poor, less-little one that can't even say goodbye. I feel so sorry for the pair of them.

Aw, just look at them. I think they want their big, dark-skinned sis to come back.

Introducing ...

Name: Gol Antil
Story: The Rogue King
Status: Serpent God of Whimsy

Antil is the youngest, weakest and smallest of the Serpent Gods. He started out as a sub-conscious to another character, but, on a whim, I severed all ties to said character.
That was all well and good, but it did present me with the trouble of who his chosen people were. I eventually decided he fitted being with the katesses, leading me to alter a different deity entirely to plonk him in there.
So he shares his temple with the Star of Healing, who never really required a temple, and it was always more of a school for healers anyway. Antil's apparent willingness to let this happen is likely to be one of the reasons he's been the brunt of Lorric's - his cousin and one of the agonists - teasing over the centuries.

I couldn't resist having a rainbow serpent, really, I couldn't. ^_^ Can you just imagine how shimmery he'd be to those who meet him?

Introducing ...

Name: Herald & the Angel
Story: The Unborn Trilogy
Status: Unborn & Child of the Sun

Well, here we are, the final two characters of the Unborn Trilogy: one a demon 'born' with no name and the other an angel known as more of a description than a concise name (condensed, it's Golden Dawn. Do you get it?). How did they get their names? Why, the same way everyone gets their's: they were given to them by their parents ... twice when it comes to her.
It was interesting writing this story entirely from Herald's POV and he has sure grown since my first crazy dream of a troubled demon falling for an angel trapped in crystal.

This is one of my older images of the pair (done in 2010). Originally, it was used in a contest where the angels had to have wings. Unfortunately, my computer seems to have an aversion to saving half of my files with these two and munching the half it does save (it's a conspiracy I tell, ye!), so I've lost everything but this. I would redo it, but I doubt if I'd get the same emotion this gives off.
